AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING FISHING LICENSES:

If Minnesota state government shuts down at the end of next week, fishing licenses will not be available for purchase from the DNR beginning July 1. No manual alternate system for issuing licenses will be in place.

If you are interested in fishing, purchase your licenses online from the DNR website or from a license vendor in the state before July 1^st (http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/licenses/fishing/index.html?type=fishing). Conservation officers will be deemed necessary for public safety and would be enforcing the laws.
